Who we are

Antwerp Jiu-Jitsu vzw (a Belgian non-profit), Eksterlaar 25D, 2100 Antwerpen, enterprise number 1014.429.265. We are responsible for the personal data in this policy. Questions? Email antwerpbjj@gmail.com.

What we collect, why and for how long

Contact form
Your name, email address and message, so we can answer you. Your message lands in our mailbox. We keep it for up to 2 years after our last contact.
Visiting the site
The site runs on a Hetzner server in Germany. We don’t keep log files with IP addresses. If you use the contact form, the server remembers your IP address for one hour, only to stop spam.
Analytics
Only if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which parts they look at. Google keeps that data for 14 months. More in our cookie policy.
Free trial
You book a trial class through Calendly, which receives your name, email address and the time you pick.
Membership
You sign up through Gymdesk. There we keep your contact details, membership, payments and attendance, because we need them to run your membership. We keep them while you’re a member, and after that for as long as accounting law requires.
Insurance
Every member is registered with the federation for sports insurance. For that we pass on your name, date of birth and contact details. You can’t train without insurance.
Photos and videos
We sometimes share pictures from training and competitions on the site and on our social media, always with a first name only. For children we ask the parents’ permission first. Want a picture taken down? Tell us and we’ll remove it.

Cookie policy

Who we share data with

Only with services we need: Hetzner (hosting, Germany), Google (email and, with your consent, Analytics), Calendly (trial classes), Gymdesk (membership) and the federation (insurance). Google, Calendly and Gymdesk are US companies. Transfers to the US happen under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data.

Children

For children under 13, their parents or guardian act for them, including giving or withdrawing consent.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete your data. You can object, restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a usable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we’ll answer within a month. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.
